    This auction is for the

    antique
    solid heavy
    sterling silver cigarette case, made in England. The sterling silver cigarette case
    has a classic shape, adorned with elegant pattern. The inside of the box is gold vermeil and features two springs, marked STE-VEL on the sides.
    The case has a gorgeous monogram SWP on the lid and engraved inscription of beautiful calligraphy on inside with name of the original owner Dr S. W. Prowse of Winnipeg and dated 2016,
    giving lovely
    antique charm
    and character
    to the gorgeous luxurious piece. Dr Samuel Willis Prowse was a very famous Canadian physician. During WWI in 1916, he joined the Canadian Expeditionary Forces and took a mobile field hospital to France (read his biography available on line). This provenance significantly enhances the value of the case, which
    was produced 
by the quality makers Charles Green &Co.
