Gentleman’s vintage gold-tone watch fob with an elaborate charm featuring lovely 3-dimensional designs. An intricately carved intaglio (Greek/Roman god?) wax seal at the end finishes off this handsome piece of the past.
In case you didn’t know, for centuries men used these fobs to keep their pocket watch solidly hooked to a button with a chain so the watch could be kept in a vest pocket. Shortly after WWI, the wrist watch was invented and fobs became a thing of the past.
