    Description

    This very nice six sided Glass Planters Jar and Lid. It measures 10" tall (includes the lid) x 9 " across at the widest diameter. The lid is 6" across inside and 7 1/4" across outside. There is one tiny chip on the outside of the lid (see photos). The bottom has embossed Made In USA letters. The sides show painted on, raised, yellow Mr. Peanut standing with a cane, and the word Planters in yellow. All of the paint is intact. The lid has the raised words on the inside of the lid "Planters" and a molded peanut for the knob.
    Ca. 1930's.  This was an advertising jar used at the check out of Drug/Candy Stores to promote Planter's Peanuts. This piece would make an excellent cookie or treat jar.  Looks great just by itself, though.
