Vintage Original Mr. Peanut Costume

Vintage Original Mr. Peanut Costume. Just imagine the millions of people that this Mr.Peanut greeted during his 30 some years of service on the Atlantic City Boardwalk!
This Costume was used on the Atlantic City boardwalk Planters Peanuts store. This was one a few original 1930s paper mache costumes that an employee would wear on the boardwalk to promote Planters Peanuts.The paper mache costumes were replace years later by the more common and much less valuable plastic costumes.
This costume comes with the spats and cane which I was told came with the costume from the original owner.
Yes the costume has a cracked brim on the hat and has cracking throughout the paper mache. Very common but repairable for an item as old as this.
The hat has a ring that was used to hang the costume from after use.
I prefer local pickup. This would be a great addition in a foyer in a shore beach front mansion. Its that unique. Your friends and family will love to take pictures with it.
This is  very important piece of Atlantic City history. I would like to see it go to a good caring home. Please message with any questions. Thank you!
