1 WHAT is Valeriana AND WHAT IT IS USED for
Valeriana is the medicine of the sedative and hypnotic drugs. Calms the nervous system, relieves tension and helps the occurrence of sleep.
2 BEFORE YOU TAKE Valeriana
Do not take Valeriana:
If you are hypersensitive to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients.
Take special care with Valerian
Should not be administered to children below 12 years due to lack of evidence of safety and effectiveness of Valerian in this age. There may be cases of intolerance to specific aroma of Valeriana.
Using other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription. So far there are no known adverse interactions with Valeriana with other medicines.
Taking Valeriana with food and drink
Adoption of Valeriana does not depend on the food. Avoid concomitant use with alcohol.
Pregnancy and lactation
There are no clinical data on the use of Valerian during pregnancy and lactation. Animal studies are insufficient. Therefore, Valeriana is not recommended to be taken during pregnancy and lactation.
Driving and using machines
Adoption of Valeriana immediately before driving or operating machinery is not recommended because of a mild sedative.
Important information about some components of Valeriana
The tablets contain dyes E 110 and E 124, which can cause allergic reactions. The tablets contain lactose. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this product.
3 HOW TO TAKE Valeriana
Unless otherwise indicated in adults and children over 12 years, the usual dose is 1-2 tablets 3 to 4 times daily. The tablets are taken  along with sufficient fluid. In sleep disorder single dose is taken one hour before bedtime.
For optimal effect it is recommended to continue treatment for 2-4 weeks. If symptoms persist or worsen after two weeks of treatment, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
If you take more than the amount of Valeriana
If you accidentally take 1 or 2 tablets Valeriana more than prescribed, it is usually not harmful consequences.
To date have reported isolated cases of overdose after receiving a dose greater than 20 times the maximum therapeutic dose (20 g valeriana). In such cases, it may be observed the following events: fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal
cramps, drowsiness, trembling of the hands, dilated pupils. In these cases it is necessary to immediately stop taking Valerian and contact your doctor. May require application of symptomatic agents.
If you forget to take Valeriana
If you forget to take Valerian not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. You should continue the treatment according to the user manual.

4 POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Valeriana can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

5 HOW TO STORE Valeriana
In original packaging in a dry and protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 25 ° C.
Keep out of reach of children!
Do not use Valeriana after the expiry date stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Valeriana contents
The active substance is a dry water-alcoholic extract of valerian root 30 mg (Valerianae radix extractum siccum).
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, copovidone, silica - colloidal anhydrous, magnesium stearate, vegetable, polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 3350, titanium dioxide (E171), talc, sunset yellow FCF (E110), yellow iron oxide (E172 ), ponceau 4R (E 124).

Valeriana are round, biconvex film-coated tablets with a diameter of 7 mm. 10 tablets in a blister of PVC / aluminum foil in a cardboard box 3 and 10 blister pack.
