The purpose of the rosary is to help keep in mind certain principal events in the history of our salvation.
The rosary consists of 20 mysteries divided into four distinct parts - The Joyful, The Luminous, The Sorrowful and the Glorious Mysteries.
Each mystery is represented by a decade made up of the Our Father, ten Hail Marys and a Glory Be.
