    F-4375 Poplar Fluted Box Newel posts
    have a pedestal size of 4-3/4" and an overall length of 62".  Hardwood wall is 3/4" with the main shank at 4-3/4".   Poplar is the best choice for a paint grade newel with its tight grain and economical cost.  It can also be stained dark to match walnut, mahogany and Brazilian cherry hardwoods.
    The F-4375 Fluted Box Newels are made with lock mitered corners, which means they have no end grains, developing elegance.   This product is available as a half-sawn newel post for handrail wall terminations.
