Ernest Goes to Jail is a 1990 American comedy film directed by John R. Cherry III and starring Jim Varney. It is the fourth film to feature the character Ernest P. Worrell. It was shot in Nashville and Tennessee State Penitentiary. This is the second most successful of the Ernest films, behind Ernest Saves Christmas.
Background - I worked in the UK video distribution industry from 1982 to 1994. Each week I received a delivery of video sleeves for the future new releases and also video posters and other point-of-sale material. Around 1985 I started collecting the posters and other interesting promotional items. A few copies of each went straight from the large flat cardboard shipping packaging in which they were received from the distribution warehouse in London, to large plastic stacking crates I bought for the purpose.
The most common poster sizes were 17" x 24" and 20" x 30". These were stored flat and the larger ones were loosely folded as required to fit into the crates. Some posters came pre-folded from the printers.

The crates have been stored in dry, dark conditions with little disturbance. Therefore most of the items are in very good condition considering their age. This is commonly known as "A1" or "Near-mint". The posters have never been displayed, therefore I am listing as "NEW" rather than used. They have been handled with care a few times during their journey through time and space to the present day, and any defects collected along the way will be mentioned in the listing.
All are original posters that came direct from the UK film distributors.

Posters will be carefully rolled with protective paper and shipped in tubes, sent using a tracked service of Correos, the national postal service of Spain.
Environmentally-friendly cardboard tubes with plastic end caps will be used for posters up to about 24" wide and with a sale price under . Plastic tubes with packing tape end seals for larger posters and those with a higher sale price ( and over, including multiple purchases). These are more work as I need to cut the tubes to size with a saw from lengths of plumbing tubing, then clean up the swarf as far as possible, and the extra weight often takes the postage cost into a higher band.
If you want a purchase under , or under 24" wide, sent in a plastic tube, please message me and I'll advise on the extra cost, depending on your location.
Plastic tubes are more damage-resistant and waterproof, and but seem to attract more attention from customs and/or security staff who have been known to open them up, examine the contents and shove posters back in, taking absolutely no care in the process and resulting in damaged goods. Thankfully it is rare for this to happen. I try to avoid this by clearly marking the outside with "Printed Paper".
If a plastic tube is used, please see if you can reuse it, perhaps for some other purpose. Next best is to see if you can recycle it, before you consider putting in the normal rubbish/trash.
