    Description

    This is the Regular Edition Birka Geocoin.
    It has not been activated and is trackable.  It has an Icon.
    I confirmed that is has not been activated at Geocaching.com/track/details.
    The coin is approximately 2" in diameter and approximately 4.0mm thick.  It is silver in color with enamel colors on the front and on the back.  It is a nice solid heavy coin.
    Birka, located on the island of Bjorko in Sweden was an important trading center.  Birka has long been considered Sweden's oldest town.  I was established as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993
    In the center of the coin is a Birka Cross, a Christian cross Viking style.  On both the front and back are symbols found on tools and jewelry from the Birka excavations.
