    St.Fortunatus,
    (540-610).
    Born in Italy, the Christian-Latin poet and priest Venantius Honorius Clementianus Fortunatus is considered the last Roman poet of late antiquity, but also the first poet of the Middle Ages. His works represent an important source for the outgoing Gallo-Roman culture at the turn of the late antiquity and early medieval period
    .
    Became Bishop of the French city of Poitiers, reputated hymnographer, writer, theologian and Father of the Church.
    Ornate silver plated case, decorated on back with the Sacred Heart and flowery designs. T
    he interior compartment is under glass on a red cloth background with golden decoration, the relic is placed on a gold backing under the name label which reads
    " S.Fortunat.ev " ( St.Fortunatus, bishop ).
    The back case cover is very firmly closed but can be removed to view the red string seals and the official red wax Church seal with Bishop's hat and stem. All are in place and intact.
    With its DOA (document of authenticity) with latin text, seals, signatures and dated 1920.
    Reliquary in excellent condition with minor signs of wear and age.
