    early Christian Roman Martyr and Virgin. She is one of the 7 virgin martyrs commemorated ny name in the Canon of the Mass.

    he interior compartment is under glass on a red cloth background with golden decorations, the relic is placed on a green backing under the name label which reads
    " Ste.Agnes, V.M " .
    The back case cover is very firmly closed but can be removed to view the red string seals and the official red wax Church seal with Archbishop's hat and stem. All are in place and intact.
    Antique reliquary in good condition with minor signs of wear and age, some stains and marks on the brass case.
