    Description

PLEASE NOTE: THE BOOK IS NOT FOR SALE. ONLY THE MEDAL.
This medal is missing it's bale, is 3/4 inches long and is made of bronze. These medals were used to help evangelize the native populations of the New World and their destinations were the convents built by the Spanish and Portuguese.
This medal is from my mother’s estate collection, and it was discovered when it washed up on one of the many Caribbean Island beaches she visited, whose location was lost to history with her death at age 97 in 2010.
It’s dating and authentication can be confirmed from pictures in the book ARTIFACTS OF THE SPANISH COLONIES OF FLORIDA AND THE CARIBEAN 1500-1800.
Thanks for your kind support of our work!
