    This is a new ("never been used") DTH Hammer Bit manufactured by the Sandvik Corporation, a Swedish firm. It is a Coromant XL4 style. This drill bit size is 41/2 inches. It has 12 Splines on the shank with 2 air holes on the convex face. The inserts (buttons) are the cemented ballistic style, made of high quality tungsten carbide, with 8 on gauge and a total of 16 on the face. The weight is approximately 18 pounds with the blow tube in place. the alpha-numeric data imbedded in one of the splines is 42 - 4256  115B55 serial number B38621.
