Art - Deco period European Silver box, streamlined, with rounded corners and ergonomically convex shapes.
Gilt interior with British Import 925 Silver hallmarks on both halves. Year letter / imported to London in 1923.
Button of the lock mechanism with bezel set natural Blue (with tint of Green) Sapphire setting Ø 3.5 mm / about 0.2ct.
Measures 8.3 cm x 5.6 cm x 8.5 mm thick. Sections for cigarettes inside 77 mm x 45 ( may be used for modern Slims cut short to fit the length )
Weight : 67 grams
Used but excellent condition, minor scratches only, no dents . Gild very well preserved. Hinges hide internal spring that automatically and smoothly spreads aside two halves of the box if the lock's button is pressed on. Tight spring and lock, it will close with a click. Original rubber bands with hooks did not survive, but replacements are available at many tobacco related shops.
